Without certification, any kiln installed in Canada requires an expensive time consuming and painstaking field certification.

Canadian Customers, Take Note!
		Our Intertek Certification mark shows “US” and “C” next to it to indicate we have been completely certified for the US and Canada standards using both the I-94 AGA and the CSA 22.2 standards for gas kilns.

Bailey gas kilns are certified by Intertek, which is an international certication agency, different from CSA International. FYI, CSA International has separate certification marks for gas products in the US and Canada respectively.

		To have a CSA International approval for a gas kiln installed in Canada, the CSA certification mark must show a blue flame in the logo. This Canadian certification is not recognized in the US.

		To have a CSA International approval for a gas kiln installed in the US, the CSA certification mark must show a blue star in the logo. This US certification mark is not recognized for Canada.

To have CSA International certification for a gas kiln for both Canada and the US, then the product must show both marks. If you are considering a kiln for hook up in Canada that is CSA International certified, make sure the manufacturer’s product shows the blue flame mark or you will have to pay for expensive additional inspection fees.

With certification already incorporated, installations are trouble free, fast, and inexpensive.
Without certification, any kiln installed in the US may require the same expensive time consuming process as in Canada. Many states and municipalities have become more demanding in their certification requirements in order to allow operation of a new gas kiln.

Don’t be fooled!
Some kiln companies are deceptive by creating the illusion that their kilns are approved by stating their “components are listed”. This is no help when an inspector comes to your kiln site. The local inspectors will ask “Where is the certification label?” and you won’t have one. They don’t care that various parts are listed, they want to know that the entire kiln has been fully approved for safety and is certified!
