Double Vent System
How it
works.
Air intakes through the top spy plug of the
kiln. The suction unit attached at the bottom rear of the kiln draws out
just enough air to pull the fumes out of the kiln. Negative pressure
exists in the exhaust duct all the way to the suction unit to prevent
leakage into the room. The vent kit exhausts to the outside of the room
through the studio wall with a dryer vent kit or through a window.

Features:
Automatic Timer Control: This allows
you to set the shut-off time of the Fume System to coincide with your
firing schedule.
Vent 2 Kilns Simultaneously: The
Bailey is the only fume removal device that allows you to vent up to 2
kilns simultaneously. This translates into a great cost savings! Note:
large oval kiln (16.5 cu. ft.) or other large front loading kilns must use
one double vent system without sharing with
another kiln. Inquire about other possibilities.
Individual Damper Controls:
Different materials, and different applications, produce a variable in
fumes. Whether you are firing sulfuric clays, lusters, wax-resist or
glazes, the dampers allow immediate variable adjustments to control the
volume of fume removal.
Easy to Install: The Bailey System
requires only one small hole to be drilled in the lower wall. The top spy
hole provides air intake and is readily plugged to prevent heat loss.
Wall Mounted Motor: We mount the
motor (and other electrical components) on the wall. This
keeps them a safe distance from the heat of the kiln which will extend the
life of the motor and save you money.
Improved Heat Distribution: Because
the fumes are drawn out the bottom of the kiln, a “down-draft effect”
is created. This helps balance out heat differential top to bottom,
yielding excellent firing results.
Element Corrosion Protection: The
fumes are removed before they can build up and leak through the kiln
walls. This feature helps protect the elements, controls, and the kiln
chassis from the effects of corrosive fumes.
